Suez  Canal What is the history of the Suez Canal? The Suez Canal has existed in one form or the other since construction started under the reign of Senausret III, Pharao of Egypt (1887-1849 BC). Located in Egypt, the artificial sea-level waterway was built between 1859 and 1869 linking the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. India Cancels International passenger flights

  New Delhi, Due to Covid-19 infectious disease spread spiked up, the Indian government announced on Tuesday the suspension of international commercial passenger flights and to be extended till April 30, 2021.   International commercial passenger flights were suspended on March 23, 2020, due to the corona virus pandemic. International flights have remained suspended since then. However, international passenger flights operating on Vande Bharat project is on operation.   Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in a circular noted, "However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis." This means the flights operating under the bilateral air bubble agreements with select countries will continue to run. Currently, India has bilateral air bubble pacts with 27 countries.
