The Darvaza gas crater also known as “The Door to Hell” or “Gates of Hell”, is a natural gas field collapsed into a cavern near Darvaza, Turkmenistan. In 1971 The Gates to hell was created fortuitous; while Soviet Union drilling rig and it accidentally punched into a massive underground natural gas cavern. This caused the ground to collapse and the entire drilling rig to fall in. Geologists thought the crater would burn for a weeks time; it has now been burning inevitable since 1971. That’s almost 50 years, and geologists still have no idea how much longer it will burn for. Now "The Gates To Hell" is one the most famous tourist site in Turkmenistan and the most common reason foreign tourist want to visit Turkmenistan.
