Russia files lawsuite againt social networking site -- Google, Facebook and Twitter.
Moscow-- On failing to remove the posts, which could provoke an illegal protest, Russia reportedly suing Google, Twitter and Facebook. Apart from Google, Twitter and Facebook, Russia files a case against TikTok and Telegram. The case involves a fine of up to 4 million Rubles (approx $54,000), will be imposed if found to be in violation of law. Last month protest erupted across the country over the imprisonment of Alexei Navalny, a key critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin. On Tuesday Interfax news agency quoted in Moscow court saying that Russian authorities had sued five social media companies for failing to remove the posts that encouraged children to take part in the illegal protests.
