Aadhaar x PAN - Extension till June 30th
Aadhaar x Pan Income Tax Department issued an order that March 31th was the last day to link the Aadhaar with the PAN card. Defaulters PAN will be disabled; also it attracts a fine to the Pan users Rs 10,000 . Traffic increased to the Income Tax Department’s website page since morning to link their Aadhaar with the Pan. Due to high traffic, department web-page suddenly crashed as many people were accessing the website at the same time. Users subsequently posted on their social networking page site that they would like an extension to link. The website, which was constantly down, is back to normal. The Income Tax Department has announced that it has extended the deadline for the PAN-Aadhaar number link due to the Corona threat.
