Sujatha, wife of Santhan Krishnan (SK) reported to Police Station, that her husband went missing a couple of days before. The discovery of a headless body in the Chennai Metro early one morning was particularly unusual. It sent an emotional upheaval to the Corporation of Greater Chennai, but the incident went unnoticed outside Chennai. The case was clearly strange to handle cos of a fully clothed body and none of the owner's personal things removed except the head. The Chennai police soon took the dead man's wallet as forensic evidence from the body. Added to that, Sujatha, the dead man's wife, could positively identify the body in the most intimate ways. Few policemen were dispatched to the dark tunnels on either side of Meenambakkam Station, where the body had been found. Above ground another search was made, equally fruitlessly, and to Inspector Devaraj it looked as though the case would linger on unsolved. Couple of weeks later, six kilometres towards west, a headless b
