Tamil Nadu government has issued an order to ban festivals and religious gatherings in Tamil Nadu from 10th of April to curb the spread of Corona Virus disease. In India, Corona virus surges rapidly in states like Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. In this context, today Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a video conference with the state's Chief Ministers. Polling Booths in Tamilnadu to hold several Santation Safety Measures.

  SANITATION -- To prevent the spread of infectious disease Covid-19, all polling booths in Tamilnadu to hold several santation safety measures. Chennai, Tamil Nadu Assembly elections to be held on April 6. All polling booths are being set up with corona security measures. The Election Commission to undergo 13 types of sanitation security equipments to each polling booth to prevent the spread of corona on polling day. Tamil Nadu Health Officials said. Accordingly, 13 types of items including ‘Thermal Scanner Equipment’ for testing temperature, full body armor, 3 layer mask, cotton mask, 2 types of gloves, 3 types of disinfectant, face shield and box with medical equipment are to be provided to each polling station. Each voter will be thermo tested and allowed to vote after hand rubbing with disinfectant. Voters not wear a mask will be provided with a mask at the polls. People fined for not wearing mask - Tuticorin

Tuticorin, Tuticorin District Collector Senthil Raj said, In a single day 675 people in Tuticorin District fined for not wearing mask. Corona Virus case infection in Tamilnadu is up again. Necessary steps should be taken to bring the spread under control. Wearing mask is the immediate solution to avoid infectious disease. People not following this rule and not wearing the mask in the public places were fined Rs 50 to Rs 500. In a single day nearly 675 people were fined, for not wearing the mask in the public places. Apple -- iPhone 12 production in India, Tamilnadu

Apple's iPhone manufacturing started in India. This Tech giant said that India is the world's second biggest market for smartphones. Apple's contract manufacturer Foxconn a Taiwanese firm will assemble the device in its plant in Tamil Nadu state near Chennai. Apple said "We are proud to manufacture iPhone 12 in India for our local customers." The trade war between Beijing and Washington made Apple to shift some of it's production unit from China to other neighbouring countries. Also other sources said that from November Foxconn is moving iPad and MacBook assembly line to Vietnam from China. India's Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted following the news of iPhone 12 production in India. He quoted saying "Nice to see our efforts to make India a big hub for mobile and components manufacturing and is attracting global attention," also he added "This will create jobs in large numbers." Tamil Nadu Makes E-pass Mandatory For Domestic And Int'l Passengers.

    Travelers visiting the state after generating an e-pass allow the government to trace them or their contacts if they had tested Covid-19 positive during their stay in Tamil Nadu. All overseas and domestic passengers except those from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Puducherry arriving in Tamil Nadu must now carry an E-pass, to get an entry into the State, read a Government order dated March 4. The Tamil Nadu government has been issued due to the sudden surge in Coronavirus cases, wherein the state recorded over 520 fresh positives on Sunday, while four people succumbed to the virus. A Government Order to this effect was issued recently by the Health and Family Welfare Department.  Last year, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tamil Nadu government had allowed only those with an e-pass to take up inter-district and inter-state travel, though the norms were relaxed later.
