New Delhi, Central Government sent a letter to the United Nations, stating that the new IT rules were aimed at empowering ordinary people to use social networking sites. Central Government passed a regulation act, imposing new restrictions to various social networking organizations, which includes Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp along with new upcoming social networking organizations.  In this context, all the social networking organizations have vowed to abide by the new IT rules of the Central Government, whereas Twitter alone has been caught up in the controversy. In this scenario,  UN Human Rights Council   (UNHRC) officials have recently expressed concern over the Central Government's new Information Technology regulations.
