New IT laws - India Letter to United Nations

Central Government sent a letter to the United Nations, stating that the new IT rules were aimed at empowering ordinary people to use social networking sites.
Central Government passed a regulation act, imposing new restrictions to various social networking organizations, which includes Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp along with new upcoming social networking organizations.
In this context, all the social networking organizations have vowed to abide by the new IT rules of the Central Government, whereas Twitter alone has been caught up in the controversy.
In this scenario, UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) officials have recently expressed concern over the Central Government's new Information Technology regulations.
Following this, a letter was sent to the United Nations from the Central Government. The detail includes:- Pornographic photos and scenes are shared among all ages people. Economic crime has increased. People are being mobilized for terrorist groups.The peace of the country is being disrupted and violence is brewing.
Therefore, Central Ministry of Information and Broadcasting gathered the views of various sections of the community on the imposition of restrictions on social networking sites. Based on that, these new Information Technology regulations have been laid down.
These new rules are aimed at empowering ordinary people who have been sexually abused and harassed by social media, the letter stated.
