Plan your monetary accordingly - Banks, to go on long holidays

Bank on Holidays Public and private banks in India will remain closed for seven days between March 27 and April 4. However, they will be open on March 30 and April 3.   In case you have any urgent work, it is suggested that you either do it this week ended March 26 or wait till April 5 to complete the same.   Banks will remain closed from March 27-29 on account of the fourth Saturday and Holi. March 28 is a Sunday which is a usual bank holiday. On March 31 services will remain suspended on account of the last financial day of the year. April 1 is closing day on which bank employees’ work but branches are inaccessible to customers and therefore no normal operations.   Bank holidays are observed differently by different states and therefore may not be the same everywhere. RBI is celebrating Financial Awareness Week and has informed how people can identify a fake currency note Several reports have claimed that due to people being cautious about the higher denomination notes, those running a racket of counterfeit notes have shifted their focus on circulated the lower denomination notes like Rs 100 and Rs 50.  The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has come forward to raise awareness about fake currency notes of 50 and 200 being in circulation and has informed about how to identify them.
