 Bengaluru,

There are two versions of this incident, Kamaraj supporters trust one version of the story and Hitesha supporters to go with another version of the story.

Kamaraj says shoes were thrown and abuses were hurled at him whereas Hitesha denied Kamaraj's statement.

Zomato says, it is supporting both sides of the investigation and wants  the story to come to light".

Hitesha, said on Wednesday she had been on the phone with Zomato's customer service over her delayed food order. "I kept saying either cancel my food order or do me a favor by making it free."

"The moment I saw Kamaraj asked him whether Zomato informed about cancelling the order or waiving the charges. He said there was no information, so don't waste my time. Give me my money and let me go." he said it rudely.

She again called up Zomato customer care and said that your delivery person is shouting and threatening me.

In the sound conversation she tried to close the door to avoid melee. But he deliberately push open my main door grabbed the ordered food and left the place.

It all happened in a couple of minutes time, "I told him you can't do this. Then he punched me. I couldn't understand what was happening and I didn't know my nose was bleeding. Before I gathered my self he ran to the lift. I went after him and stopped him. He hit me again and, as the lift wouldn't shut, the he pushed me down and ran using the stairs."No recording as there was no CCTV installed.

Police arrested Kamaraj and released him on bail, also he is under temporary suspension from Zomato.

Kamaraj on the other had denied the statement of Hitesha. He claimed it was she who had verbally abused him, thrown shoes at him and accidentally hurt herself. He also claimed he had apologized to her and, after talking to Zomato, asked her to return the food but she refused. He also admitted picking up the food from her table and walking off.

"I didn't punch her, I was thunderstruck. I hit her hand to guard myself. She was wearing a ring. That ring hit her nose and then the injury happened. I was stunned on the situation so I left the place immediately."

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal -- We are providing all possible support to suspect Kamaraj and complainant Hitesha "to make sure both sides of the story come to light and due process is followed in the spirit of fairness."
